Who we are
Nicolas Lacoumette
Nicolas is FKFX Audio’s core product designer. He has a 15+ years of experience in music industry, specialized in world music, he worked as producer with Emel Mathlouthi, Arash Khalatbari, Adele B.,and Habib Meftah Bousheri, on studio and live.
His passion for music software designs, started at the same time, and he won several awards in the past, as Devine Machine founder. He made X-Incarn, Devine Machine, KrishnaSynth, GURU, and some more. He had to stop this activity at the time because of his too low self-taught knowledge with coding, and went on with music, until lockdown.
He then created FKFX Audio to promote new music software designs, with the great help of JUCE framework, and above all with the brilliant DSP code created by Laurent De Soras. FKFX Audio won the wildcard award (public best notes) for Influx at KVR DC21 contest.
Laurent De Soras
Laurent De Soras is the former Ohmforce DSP coder, he helped Nicolas with adding his own magical DSP from Pedale Vite inside FKFX products.
He is the sound man behind all Ohmforce plugins, Ohmicide, Ohmygod, Symptohm, and many more.

COMPATIBILITY
How to Update Your Plugins
To download the latest version of our plugins, please visit www.fkfxaudio.com. Navigate to the product page and download the demo version.
Once downloaded, run the installer. In some cases (particularly for major updates), you may be asked to re-enter your activation code. However, in most situations, running the demo installer will seamlessly perform the update.
If you have any concerns or need assistance with the update process, feel free to reach out to us at support [at] fkfxaudio.com.
Most updates will be provided to you for free. However, for major updates (e.g. from version 1 to version 2), you may purchase the update at a discounted price.
Checking Your Plugin Version
To check the version of your plugin, click on the FKFX logo located on the top left corner of the GUI. This will open the about box which will display the current version of your plugin.

DEMO
Saving Settings with Demo Version
You can save and load with demo version.
Demo will add a soft noise to the output, or fadein / add nois on the exported files.
Unlocking the Demo Version After Purchase
You will receive a license key file by email, which you simply need to enter to unlock the fully activated version. This operation takes one minute.
Additionally, you will receive a link to a video tutorial explaining the step-by-step activation of the plugin.
INSTALLATION
Downloading and Authorizing Plugins After Purchase
Right after purchase, you can unlock the demo by entering the license key sent to you after purchase, along with the email used for the purchase.
To activate the plugin, simply click on the "Enter License key" button, and enter license key and the email used for the purchase.
You also have the option to add your desired name as the license owner.

Authorizing Plugins Without Internet Connection

Next Steps After Purchasing a FKFX Plugin
Upon purchase, you will receive an email containing a license key code. To activate the demo version, all you need to do is enter this key by clicking on "Enter License Key" during the demo startup, or in the about box, along with your email address, and the name you would like to be displayed in the about box.

Upon starting the plugin demo, you can click the 'Buy Now' button to receive the plugin activation code within a few minutes.

Please make sure to check your spam folder, and you may also search your email for the phrase "Thank you for your purchase" to locate the email.

Order Processing Time

Interactive Help on Plugin GUI
You can access interactive help by clicking on the top right question mark icon.
You can then hover over any element to receive a brief explanation of its function. For more detailed information, please refer to the manuals.

Reporting Errors in the Manual
All of our manuals are first written and reviewed in both French and English to ensure the accuracy of meanings and simplify understanding as much as possible. Then, they are translated using an AI-based translation API called DeepL.
We are aware that errors may exist in the manuals, but we strive to make sure that the reader can still understand the information provided. If you have any trouble understanding the manual, please contact us and we will be happy to correct any problems.
TIPS & TRICKS
Fine-Tuning Knob Values with a Mouse
Simply by using right click, or hold down keyboard SHIFT.
(Note : KrishnaSynth has different behaviour as it was a re-edition of a plugin)
Undo Functions
The undo functions are handled by the DAW host: CTRL-Z on PC and CMD+Z on Mac.
On the curve edit screen, undo and redo options are also available and are handled by the plugin itself.
Locking Parameters While Browsing Presets
You can access the lock feature by clicking on the lock icon in the top right corner.
A left click will present you with various factory locks, depending on the plugin. Click multiple times to cycle through them.
A right click allows you to access the user lock directly, where you can select which parameters should remain locked when loading new presets.
Finally, you can right-click on knobs for additional selection functionalities.
Resizable GUI Options
You can expand or shrink GUI interface. The last size will be recalled when inserting a new instance of the plugin.
(Note : KrishnaSynth has no resize function right now)
Location of Plugin Presets
Simply open preset menu, on the bottom of it click on 'Reveal Presets Location...'.

Meaning of FKFX
Feedback Effect.
The "feedback effect" refers to a situation where the outcome or result of a process influences the process itself, either amplifying (positive feedback) or dampening (negative feedback) its future behavior. This can occur in various systems, such as economics, biology, or climate, where changes in one part of the system trigger reactions that reinforce or counteract the original change.

About KrishnaSynth - History
KrishnaSynth was available between 2007 and 2010, but Devine Machine has since discontinued its development.
We have sent license keys to all former customers in early 2023, but some of the provided email addresses may no longer be valid. If this applies to you, please feel free to contact us at support@fkfxaudio.com.
The synth is a replica of the 2010 version, but much of the code had to be rewritten and the synth had to be beta-tested again.
Development of a version 2.0 is on our to-do list, which may include changes to the user interface. It is possible that the new version may be substantially different from the current version, but it will remain compatible with current version presets.
Important note about old presets : Using the old presets from 2007 version will most certainly crash the plugin randomly. If you have to reload them, please re-save them immediately after loading so the preset file structure becomes correct and safe.

Meaning of the "15" in the Plugin Name
This actually happened at the early stage of developments as we had a major change to make with presets.
So we had to change the name (adding the 15), or it would have crashed the plugins. This will not happen with upcoming products.
